Afte settling in, I went walking around the Barri Gotic and Las Ramblas area, and got a little nourishment. Isn't that the greatest way to serve ice cream? and it was delicious as well!

I took the on and off tourist bus, a great way to get a lay of the land. This building, the Torre Agbar, located in the newer district of Barcelona. I wish I had seen this building at night, I've heard it is all lighted up. I guess next time, and there will definitely be a next visit to Barcelona.

Eating dinner at an outdoor restaurant the first night, it was warm and the people watching was great. I took this picture, as well as many other food pictures with my iPhone, it was also great to look up where I was on maps...highly recommend it, as well as this wild mushroom and smoked mozarella risotto at Millward Brown on Passeig Gracia.

Placa de Catalunya and pigeons! Pigeons do seem to like squares/piazza/plaza and why not, people feed them...this little girl didn't seem to mind all the pigeons flying all around her.

Then on to Montjuic at the Poble Espanyol, built for the 1929 International Exhibition, is an area with different quarters that has the style of houses and architecture from different parts of Spain. There are artisan shops and restaurants It was fun, but a little bit of a downer, many shops were closed, perhaps the economy is hitting them as well :( If short on time, I'd advise on skipping it, but then again, maybe they need more tourists?

After a very busy day, I was ready for a relaxed meal, though by Barcelona's standard having dinner around 6:30pm, was early, but I was hungry and my feet were ready for a rest. To start the meal, a little tapa!
