Sunday, October 2nd. Me in my hotel in Paris, Hotel Europe St Severin, in the Latin Quarter...going on almost 24 hours without any sleep! *

One night while getting ready for bed, brushing my teeth,I looked out and saw a man walking up and down this balcony....he was also brushing his teeth.....there were lots of sparkling teeth in Paris the next day.

Monday, October 3rd, I walked across the Seine and went to Notre Dame. *

After looking around the inside and outside of Notre Dame, I climbed to the top of the Tower, all 283 steps! And of course, then walk back down -- great exercise to start the day.

Getting a little closer....

Walking down the Seine, I saw this beautiful building, looking at my map I realized that it was the Louvre.

I didn't go inside the Louvre, but I certainly enjoyed the center court and looking at the building...

of course, looking at it closer and closer...

Right outside the Louvre grounds, is the Place du Carousel at the beginning of the Jardin des Tuileries.

I loved all the details of the fountain.

A lovely and peaceful little park off the Champs Elysses.

Just in time to rest my feet and soak in a great fall day and all the details on this fountain.

The Arc de Triomphe

I looked around at all the detail work.

and looked...

...and REALLY looked at the details.

and then I was ready to climb to the top of the Arc....

Going to the top of the Arc de Triomphe -- 387 steps up and down! And remember, I had climbed to the top of Notre Dame in the morning!

Once at the top of the Arc de Triomphe, I was treated to a great view of Sacre Coeur

and the Eiffel Tower too...
then afterwards, I took the RER/train back to my hotel...I had walked alot on my first full day in Paris!

St-Germain des Pres Church, Wednesday, October 4th.
I started off the day walking down St-Germain Blvd, my ultimate goal being the Eiffel Tower by the end of the day.
